Mark your calendar! The 2010 Calgary International Children's Festival, presented by Qualico Communities, runs May 25 - 29 at the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts. With performances from Belgium, Scotland, Brazil, West Africa, the USA and Canada, it is guaranteed to be a memorable week with something for everyone! 	Pekka Artist Recommended for Ages 2 to 5 This is a precious story about a little turtle, named Pekka, who goes out in search of the moon that has refused to rise for her bedtime story. More info.
	Splash'N Boots - Live Artist Recommended for Ages 2 to 7 This energetic and interactive performance is custom-made for those fans who gotta look up to get down. Splash'N Boots - Live is a fresh and dynamic concert that will get kids groovin'! More info.
	Baobab Artist Recommended for Ages 4 to 8 Join us on a fabulous journey based on West African legends where you too will discover anything is possible under the magical influence of an ancient Baobab tree. More info.
	At Nightfall Artist Recommended for Ages 4 to 10 Enjoy this enchanting presentation about Auguste, a shoemaker, who discovers the water forest where a tiny people occupy the space where shade and light intermingle. More info.
	Aché Brasil Artist Recommended for All Ages This is a fast-paced, breathtaking production that features dazzling acrobatics, dynamic martial arts, spectacular costuming, and more! More info.
	Alice in Wonderland Artist Recommended for Ages 6 to 10 Follow The Rabbit! This adaptation of Alice in Wonderland is like a live-action pop-up book that opens to reveal a thousand and one objects that literally come to life! More info.
	ScrapArtsMusic Artist Recommended for Ages 7 to Adult ScrapArtsMusic is a highly physical, wildly theatrical, and thoroughly entertaining percussion presentation that will leave audiences awestruck and inspired. Using more than 140 invented instruments hand-crafted from recycled scrap, these athletic musicians deliver a powerful percussion performance that transcends language, culture and age. More info.
	The Man Who Planted Trees Artist Recommended for Ages 7 to Adult The Man Who Planted Trees is a delightful blend of comedy and puppetry that tells an inspiring ecological tale of a French shepherd and his faithful dog who decided "to put things right" and, in doing so, make their corner of the world a beautiful place. 	Gustavo the Impossibilist Artist Recommended for Ages 6 to Adult Gustavo is sure to fail at every outrageous stunt he puts before the audiences' unbelieving eyes! Children and young people split their sides laughing at his outrageous antics and you will too. More info.
	Stories of Faces Artist Recommended for Ages 8 to Adult Horta Van Hoye stands alone on an empty stage lit by a single lamp. Unfurling a length of newsprint, she uses rubber bands and clothespins to pinch, tweak and crumple it. Suddenly, she is no longer alone! The stage is transformed and rolls of recycled paper become three-dimensional characters which quickly assume vibrant lives of their own. More info.
	Jason and the Argonauts Artist Recommended for Ages 9 to Adult Two actors, countless action figures, and a Golden Fleece! Sail back to ancient Greece and join Jason on his journey aboard the Argo in search of the famous Golden Fleece... watch out for the odd monster, sleeping dragon and clashing rock to spice up this most fantastic of journeys! 	Student Workshop - Puppet Creation Artist Recommended for Ages 5 to 8 In this fun hands-on workshop participants get to bring to life a puppet that they build themselves. Children discover the story behind the "Krugsha" puppet and with guidance, build their very own to take home! More info.
	Master Classes For Ages 18 and Up In conjunction with the University of Calgary's Fine Arts Associates Program, these classes are offered to teachers, theatre professionals, and anyone interested in exploring various aspects of the performing arts. More info.
